“I’d like to start by expressing my appreciation of the exceptional work completed by Ag Earth and how pleased I am with the outcome.

The brief was complex and multifaceted with many competing goals. Before breaking earth, I needed to know we would complete the works within my budget. With Ag Earth’s pricing framework I could see the project was on track over the 4-month build.

Having purchased a property with dramatic views over Byron and wrapped by the cliffs of Koonyum range the home site didn’t do it the justice it deserved. Previous earth works had created a flat, square, raised building pad framed by roads without gardens and disconnected from the surrounding rainforest landscape and the views. The site demanded a major reworking to maximise its potential. 

Many companies looked at the work but didn’t have the resources and equipment to work on this scale or appreciate the aesthetic aspects that were critical to its success. 

The brief was to create a natural rolling landscape, building a rock swimming pond by the house and retaining a slope above by reforming a flat, stepped site and creating a new valley and ridge line to open views over two existing dams. The new valley made a natural setting for the construction of a rocky creek bed as the spill way between the dams. 

Ag Earth was able to take on board the design by integrating the aesthetics of creating a natural landscape with the practical aspects of water management around the site. They worked cohesively and integrated well with the other trades people on the busy site.

This was a multifaceted job over about 5 acres. The Ag Earth team had the resources to hit the work hard with big plant and then scale back as the finer elements like stone placement were carefully considered. The project needed to deal with erosion issues, view lines, manage volumes of cut and fill material needed to achieve the design, redirecting water catchment to feed the dams and build silt ponds. Working over 4 months on 6 acres and moving thousands of cubic meters of soil and tons of rock, many many tons of rock. 

Ag Earth managed to budget to fit the scope and at the end we were under budget and very satisfied with the outcome. They delivered on both promises and expectations.

And more importantly to me it was a good experience and working relationship. I wished to be closely involved through construction. The build was pleasurable, with good communication, a great result with a satisfied client.

Like for everyone the 2022 floods hit hard and we hope to work with Ag Earth rebuilding the asphalt driveway. A testimonial can’t speak louder than that we intend to be working with the Ag Earth team again. I highly recommend Ag Earth as a professional company that will get the work done for you.
